I’m a graphic designer based in the southwest of Ireland. I’m originally from County Kerry, now living in Limerick City. I have just completed my final year of my Bachelor of Science honours degree, Music, Media and Performance Technology in the University of Limerick.
When I was younger, I had a great passion for graphic design and video editing that stemmed from my love of computers so I naturally became interested in these areas at a young age.
While I started off on a casual level, creating designs and editing videos for personal projects, I have since taken my skills to a more professional level through college and work. I worked on many projects as a part of my bachelor's degree as well as an internship for a blockchain company that have contributed to the development of these skills.
I also work part time for SPIN South West, a radio station based in County Limerick. The role of a "SPINI" involves attending a variety event in the south west region of Ireland and promoting both the client we are working for and SPIN themselves through various means. This may include handing out SPIN merchandise, engaging with attendees, putting up SPIN branding such as banners, pop ups, desks etc. and most importantly, social media posts.
The social media posts are primarily focused on posting on Instagram as that is currently the biggest platform for SPIN South West so it is important when attending events for Instagram stories and reels to be posted to let followers know what the SPINI's are up to and encourage viewers to come down and attend themselves.
